BOOKSCOUT BOT
Terms of use
BookScout assists with public book research and author outreach. Use your own account and connect only AI and Gmail accounts you are authorized to use.
Evidence and review
Ratings counts screen candidates and do not establish sales or book quality. Positioning opportunities are interpretations. Review current facts, author identity, the contact source and the message before approving outreach. Public email publication does not establish permission to send every kind of message.
Provider access
Live research requires a working Gemini or OpenAI API connection with model access and available quota. Connecting a ChatGPT plugin or holding a consumer subscription does not automatically supply the bot’s runtime API access. Provider usage is subject to the selected provider’s terms and account limits.
Sources and availability
The bot respects source access restrictions and does not bypass blocked pages. Sources can change formats, deny access or omit information. The bot may return fewer qualifying books than your draft target and retains incomplete results for review.
Outreach
You control outreach approval and sending. The bot saves approved messages as drafts; you send them from Gmail. Honor recipient preferences and applicable outreach rules. Do not use the bot to harass recipients or make misleading claims.
Scouting sessions
Keep the bot tab open during scouting. Work is saved after each completed step and can be resumed after interruption. The service permits three scouting runs per account per UTC day, with up to fifteen draft targets per run.
